Who controls your data

RaceCharts is operated by Sergey Krohin, an Israeli sole proprietor operating under the RaceCharts brand. Sergey Krohin is the controller of personal information processed directly by RaceCharts. Contact: hello@racecharts.io.

Information we collect

• Account information such as your email address, name and authentication profile.
• Chart projects, datasets, titles, events, style choices and other content you save.
• Images and audio you upload or attach to projects.
• Feedback and support messages you choose to send.
• Product analytics such as pages visited, editor actions, render status, browser type, device type, approximate country and referral source.
• Technical logs, timestamps, security signals and IP addresses processed by our infrastructure providers.
• Billing status, customer, payment and subscription identifiers, any remaining legacy video-credit balance, renewal dates and transaction state received from Dodo Payments. RaceCharts does not store full payment-card numbers.

How we use information

• To authenticate users and save, synchronize and recover projects.
• To preview and render animated chart videos.
• To process subscriptions, honor legacy export entitlements and enforce paid export access.
• To provide support, investigate failures and protect the service from abuse.
• To understand feature use and improve reliability and design.
• To comply with legal, accounting, tax and security obligations.

Service providers

RaceCharts uses service providers including Supabase for authentication and project storage, Vercel for web hosting and server functions, Google Cloud for temporary video rendering, and Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record. These providers process data under their own contractual and privacy obligations. Authentication providers such as Google may also process information when you choose their sign-in method.

Temporary rendering data

Creating an MP4 temporarily sends the chart manifest and any selected audio to private rendering infrastructure. Render inputs and outputs are automatically deleted under the renderer’s configured retention policy, currently within approximately two days. Published files downloaded to your device are controlled by you.

AI assistant connections

If you connect an assistant such as ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Claude (Anthropic), RaceCharts provides chart text, datasets, settings, previews, selected files and export results needed for the actions you authorize. You choose the permitted actions and projects. The assistant provider processes information it receives under its own terms and privacy policies. The connector does not request your assistant’s full conversation history.

We store connection permissions, expiry and revocation records, encrypted sign-in credentials, chart drafts, uploaded assets and operation records to provide the connection, enforce your permissions and recover interrupted work. If an assistant requests your account email for a workspace access check, it is shared only with your approval; verification status comes from your RaceCharts sign-in account.

Unsaved connector drafts expire after 24 hours and become eligible for routine cleanup seven days after expiry. Saved charts, uploaded chart assets, connection records and recovery checkpoints are retained under our account-data retention policy; disconnecting is not a deletion request. You can reduce permissions or disconnect in AI connections, and contact us for deletion requests. Disconnecting prevents further connector access but cannot recall information already received by your assistant provider.

Built-in chart assistant

When you send a request to the chart assistant, your request, recent messages and a limited chart summary (such as titles, series names, date range and event captions) are sent to DeepSeek to plan and check the requested work. We do not automatically send your chart’s full numerical table, images, audio or account email. Web research sends search queries and public source URLs to DeepSeek’s search and page-reading services. DeepSeek processes this information under its privacy policy. Avoid including private or sensitive information in requests.

Temporary requests and results are stored for up to 24 hours to support recovery. Usage counters and technical logs record identifiers, request status and provider costs rather than conversation text. Your browser stores the active request and recent messages for recovery within the current tab. Applied charts keep source references and evidence with the project. Optional dictation uses your browser’s speech-recognition service; RaceCharts receives the resulting text, not a recording. You can review it before sending.

Payments

Dodo Payments independently processes card details, payment authentication, tax, fraud-prevention, invoices, cancellations and refunds. RaceCharts receives only the information needed to identify your purchases or subscription and provide export access.

Cookies and local storage

RaceCharts uses browser storage and similar technology to maintain authentication, remember editor preferences, preserve the current project selection, keep a guest draft until sign-in and support product analytics. Guest drafts and locally added music remain on the device unless you create an account and save or sync them. Third-party authentication or payment pages may use their own cookies.

Creator referrals

If you follow a creator’s referral link and allow referral tracking, we remember the first referral for up to 30 days using a first-party cookie and browser storage. When you create and verify an account, we connect that referral to your account. The creator sees anonymous referral references, signup dates and subscription status, not your name, email or projects. Tracking is optional and does not change the price or your access to RaceCharts. You can clear the referral cookie and browser storage or contact us to withdraw consent; clearing storage does not remove a referral already linked to an account.

We retain limited visit counts and device categories. Network identifiers used to limit abuse are hashed with a daily secret-derived key; expired identifiers are removed during routine cleanup. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable referral tracking.

Retention and security

We retain account and saved project data while your account remains active and as needed for support, security and legal obligations. Billing records may be retained where required by tax or accounting law. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You may edit or delete saved projects, cancel your subscription through the billing portal, and contact us to request access, correction, deletion or export of personal information where applicable. Some records may be retained when legally required or necessary to prevent fraud and resolve disputes.

International processing

RaceCharts and its providers may process information outside your country of residence. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used.

No sale and children

RaceCharts does not sell personal information. The service is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
